Editing by HUW WAHL
Sound and interview by SOPHIE DUTTON
Run time 13 minutes
I was commissioned by Sophie Dutton at the William Morris gallery to edit an interview with Michael Theis about his friendship with the outsider artist Madge Gill. Working closely with Sophie and her focus I cut down the interview and put it to images from the Madge Gill archive. We wanted something simply designed and with captions that could be easily enjoyed by gallery visitors. The result was an informative and attractive video for loop in the exhibition.
"Huw is a pleasure to work with, he had an amazing eye for detail when editing the vast amount of audio and visual material that we had available for the film. He is a great collaborator and worked with me on some quite tight deadlines in a very professional way, I would certainly work with him again, and will recommend him to others"
